Team Background |
Artie has been racing since 2003 where he began his winning ways in his very first race by winning in the Kid Kart Class. In 2005, Artie made the move up to Rookie Sportsman and the Jr. 1 COMER class. Once again Artie was the "Fast Kid" and won his first Championship, won his first IKF Regional race and set several track records in his first year up. 2006 saw Artie continue to add to his wins as he ventured in and out of four different classes in 2006. In 2007 Artie and his Kart Sport Northwest/Carpenter Motorsports Team focused on only two classes, TAG Cadet and ROTAX Mini Max. In TAG Cadet Artie had three wins in six races in the Northwest Gold Cup Series and finished second in the series. In Mini-Max Artie set track records at every track and won 5 of the 6 races along with being crowned Mini-Max Northwest Gold Cup and IKF Region 6 Champion. Artie also ran in the Burris Super Series and several other one off races and when the year was over he had posted 20 Wins in 25 race attempts including second place in TAG Cadet at the TAG USA World Championship race.
When not racing Artie attends Enterprise Middle School and is an excellent student. He spends many hours each week working at the family business, Kart Sport Northwest, where he works in all areas of the store from sales to actually servicing customers race karts. For recreation Artie likes to hit a bucket of golf balls and play some mini-golf, ride his bike, listen to music and chill with his Bud's, In the Winter months when time allows Artie enjoys going to his Grandpa's cabin and tearing up the snow, snowmobiling and snow boarding with his Mom (Mom skis). |
